After 106 years of responding to the prevention of student dropout, truancy, and other forms of student disengagement, it is now time to focus on research and assessment. What have we done and how do we plan to amplify the informed practices of our work? This forms the background of the 107th IATDP Conference. The conference slated for Indianapolis aims to gather input from educators, researchers, students, public health, and all those engaged in education to come together for change with a keen focus on engaging students. Who should attend: Educators, Social Workers, Policy Makers, Students, Legislators, Attendance Officers, Probation Officers, Parents, and any person interested in fostering change for students.

Of Special Note for Indiana Students:

The committee is interested in helping people to author their own ending, by way of students leading the first day of this conference.
Indiana Department of Education officials will participate in a panel discussion, based on concerns such as truancy, dropout, student engagement, and academics.
We welcome presentations by students, for students and faculty in the areas of research, STEM education, and are searching for a variety of concepts to develop student engagement. We are looking for student researchers working alongside faculty to present as well.
This conference will provide a wonderful opportunity to see colleges and universities within the state of Indiana.
We look forward to student panels hosting on Friday, allowing us a unique perspective on what it is like in education today.

This conference is of the International level, and has been active for 100 plus years, with attendees not only from the U.S., but around the world. We welcome and encourage all types of creative engagement including, but not limited to poetry, stand up, singing, spoken word performances, and any other creative engagement.

Proposals are open to all Indiana-based High Schools, Vocational Programs, and Universities. If you meet these criteria and are interested in presenting, please complete the following form: Student Presentation Proposal
