Edward (Ed) Foster
Ed Foster is Supervisor of Child Welfare and Attendance for the Livingston Parish Public School System. He is a retired military officer having served in the United States Army as a personnel management officer. Upon his retirement from the military in 1994, he began a teaching career in the Livingston Parish School System. He has taught in the high school and middle school setting. Additionally, he served as Assistant Principal at Walker High and as Principal at Springfield High School for six years. In 2007, Ed was appointed to his current position.
Ed holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in Social Studies Education from Southeastern Louisiana University and a Master’s of Arts Degree from Webster University. Additionally, he has completed more than 45 hours of graduate level work at Southeastern Louisiana University to complete certification requirements for a variety of leadership positions to include school principal, supervisor and superintendent.
