He has worked in the Knox County School System for Twenty-nine plus years. He started as a teacher/coach at Farragut Intermediate, A.L. Lotts, Karns High,

Assistant Principal at Carter High School, and Principal at Austin-East Magnet High School. He is currently serving as Director of Enrollment and Disciplinary Hearing Authority.
